PORINI CAMPS SAFARI
This 6 night, 7 day Safari combines three properties that complement each other – Amboseli Porini Camp in the 'private' Selenkay Conservancy, then Mara Porini Camp in the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy, part of the famous Maasai Mara eco-system, followed by Porini Lion Camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve. The Safari Camps are small and exclusive and run on the same principles - working closely with the local communities.

Day 1. Nairobi to Amboseli
09.00 am pick up from hotel and transfer to Selenkay Conservancy (102 miles, 4 hrs) to arrive for lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight. Overnight Amboseli Porini Camp.

Day 2. Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park for a morning game drive within the Park, followed by a picnic lunch. Return to Porini Camp for dinner, after which there will be a night game drive using a spotlight to seek out some of the nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, bat-eared foxes among others. Overnight Amboseli Porini Camp.

Day 3. Masai Mara
Awake to the natural sounds and calls of the local birdlife. After breakfast transfer to Nairobi for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Then transfer to Wilson Airport for the afternoon flight to the Mara, arriving around 15.45. Transfer to Mara Porini Camp. Afternoon game drive, followed by a sundowner and night game drive on the way back to Camp. Dinner and overnight Mara Porini Camp.

Day 4. Masai Mara
A full day in the Masai Mara with game drives in 4x4 vehicles. Dinner, night game drive and overnight at Mara Porini Camp.

Day 5. Ol Kinyei conservancy
Morning walk in the Ol Kinyei conservancy. After breakfast leave camp and spend the day game-viewing in the famous Masai Mara Reserve with a picnic lunch in the park and then moving on to Porini Lion Camp arriving in the late afternoon. Later in the evening have a sundowner in the Olare Orok Conservancy and night drive then dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.

Day 6. Olare Orok Conservancy
Morning and afternoon game drives in the exclusive Olare Orok Conservancy, away from the minibuses and tourist vehicles seen in the park, and with an excellent chance of sighting lions, cheetahs and leopards all of which are found in the conservancy. Sundowner and night game drive. Overnight Porini Lion Camp.

Day 7. Depart for Nairobi
Early morning game drive in the conservancy, breakfast and then transfer mid-morning to the airstrip and flight back to Nairobi, arriving Wilson at approximately 12.15.

6 NIGHTS PORINI CAMPS SAFARI: PRICES ARE IN US$

2 nights Amboseli Porini Camp (Selenkay Conservancy), 2 nights Mara Porini Camp (Ol Kinyei Conservancy),

2 nights Porini Lion Camp (Olare Orok Conservancy).

A seven day safari combining 2 nights Selenkay/Amboseli Porini Camp, with walks and night drive, game drive in Amboseli for viewing elephants close up, followed by 2 nights at Mara Porini Camp and 2 nights at Porini Lion Camp with walks and night drive and game drive in the Maasai Mara, famous for lions, cheetahs and leopards. [Minimum 2 people].

PRICES include  safari minibus transfer  to Amboseli Porini for 2 nights, Amboseli  park fees and conservancy fees, transfer to Nairobi, lunch at Carnivore and fly to Maasai Mara, 2  nights Mara Porini Camp, 2 nights Porini Lion Camp, park fees and conservancy fees included. All game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, full board and free house wines, beer and soft drinks.

Children (8-16years) each pay 60% if sharing with 2 adults; If sharing with 1 adult the adult pays single supp and child pays 60%; 2 children in own tent 75% of adult rate each; 4th child in tent is strongly discouraged due to limited space in tent and shower/toilet facilities. The camp is not suitable for children under 8yrs.

Each tent has a double & single bed, 3rd adult in tent charged at normal rate

Supplement  to fly from Amboseli to Wilson $75 per person

Supplement to 2-night flying package to fly (Mara to Ukunda/Msa) $205 One-way; $145 Return (upto 30 June, 2010). * Internal Flights are subject to fuel surcharge increases without notice.)

Exclusive use of vehicle $375/day.   Afternoon departure after lunch $45 per person (2010)
