Founded in 1997 by Mike and An Kalaitzakis, with operations having begun in early 1998, Air Excel is one of Tanzania's owner run and operated air charter companies. The duo and 1 plane grew quickly into a company that today employs 23 staff- and crew-members and has a fleet of six aircraft, ranging from 11-19 seaters. With over 25 years in aviation experience in East Africa, Mike not only owns and operates Air Excel, but takes great pleasure in personally flying the company's clients. Being personally involved, Mike sets very high standards for his crew. An keeps an eye on Air Excel's organization on the ground.
Since its inception and subsequent growth, Air Excel still maintains the owner run and operated philosophy of ‘pulling out all stops’ for personalized friendly and efficient service.

Air Excel specializes in private air-charter services within Tanzania and East Africa as well as scheduled services to the Northern Circuit, Kilimanjaro and Coastal Regions of Tanzania.
